About:
I’m from Rio de Janeiro, but I have been living in Brasília since 1981. I originally got a degree in Art Education but eventually found myself involved with ELT. I am currently working at Casa Thomas Jefferson, a private EFL school, and I am an IELTS oral examiner and an IELTS trainer for the British Council. I am also doing an MA in Applied Linguistics at the Univ. of Brasília (UnB).
I live in a large but old flat with my daughter, Carolina, who is 23 and is studying Industrial Design at UnB. We have a dog, a golden retriever called “Brisa”, who is the sweetest dog ever.
I really like Brasília, but not because of the modern architecture it’s so famous for. What I really love about my home town are the wide stretches of green, the “cerrado” trees and flowers, and the immense blue sky above us everywhere you go. I have many dear and good friends, too, which are also a reason why I like it here so much.
My favourite hobbies are reading, films, drawing, “fixing” things, but mostly observing human beings in action.
